I am back from good ol' South Carolina and the refreshing beach, well rested and ready for action! A lot has been changing but all of it has been positive and invigorating. It looks as though I am ending my position working with the dogs to enter a new opportunity, however I enjoyed visiting Mama at Oakland Animal Shelter this week so much that I'm going to make it a habit to return. I've got to treat my dog withdrawal with something, thats for sure. Going to miss all the amazing people I worked with and the cutest dogs in Oakland. So I'll keep it short this time and leave you with a few scattered thoughts:
Guess I've been missing the winter a bit...
And here is something my sister and I did just for fun real quick while enjoying the South Carolina beach! She said "jump" and I said "Kamehamehaaaaaaaaa!" Made us laugh so I can only hope the same for you.
And finally on a more serious note I would like to bring to attention this Oakland dog in the photos below. This is a quick ad I made for this sweet little lady so we can find her a home.
I called her Mama because she came into our facility rescued from the street, extremely malnourished and with 8, four week-old puppies and I was lucky enough to have the chance to take care of the whole gang. The puppies are in great health (because she's such a good mama!) and are currently in foster care however Mama is in need of a home herself ( foster or forever home) and we would greatly appreciate any sharing of this story to reach as many people as possible. I named the puppies all after burritos because, well, look at them! And Mama is as sweet as candy and has only gotten more energy and happiness since her recovery started. Her name is now Cindi Lou and staying with the good people at the Oakland Animal Shelter as mentioned previously.
They did a really sensational job on her PetFinder ad that features a kick ass video of her being crazy cute!!!

Till next time!
